Why Belief Is Not Required?

by Quan Tracy Cherry

Almost 20 years ago I began a study of metaphysics through all of the usual
channels or (usual suspects depending on your up bringing and perspective)—
astrology, numerology, tarot. One channeled source other than Seth was also
brought to my attention. It was a causal entity named Michael. Like Seth via Jane
Roberts whose main credo is "the point of power is in the present moment" (you’ll
find that in the introduction to the Aries section), Michael says "Belief is not
required" (but I’d like to add, but knowledge or gnosis/Greek for knowledge is.)

We live on the physical plane which main thrust is inspiration and service to our
fellow human beings. That’s one main key to evolution. The astral plane is located
down here with the physical. It’s where we go to dream, hang out between lives and
talk with our ancestors, spirits or entity mates that have finished their cycle of
incarnations. Talk about unity. The causal plane begins the study of the
construction of the universe. When every member of your entity has finished their
cycle of incarnations, you combine into one entity. An entity is usually made up of
800 to 1200 fragments (or individual souls).

Choosing Gnosis

While ‘belief is not required’, knowledge certainly is. As we explore the intersection
of belief and knowledge on this site, other articles will be presented with an eye on
how current reality is shaped by our pasts. I know will be the main key to the
Aquarian Age that we are currently entering. Leaving the Pisces Age of belief based
on faith has begun (the procession of the age moves backwards against the
constellations). With the advent of the Internet, the finding of the Dead Sea Scrolls
and other adventurous citing of knowledge, information flows freely to almost
everyone, if not to everyone (I’m aware of the potential class bias of this statement,
as if everyone wants to connect to the Internet or has access). No longer can "I don’
t know" be said, rather, "I didn’t care" or "I choose to stay in denial", but gnosis will
be our ruler. Gnosis or direct revelation of what is true requires no belief, no
intermediaries, no priests or popes. Imagine, if you will, that the Aquarian Age takes
us back to our innate High Priestess who symbolizes our inner knowing. She is
usually depicted between two pillars one of judgment and severity, the other mercy
and compassion. True intuition or knowing usually is a mixture of these two
complimentary virtues, the third pillar is She. Access her and you will have chosen
gnosis.

Safe Exploration of Gnosis

(Benign Is as Benign Does)
What I will explore and state on this site will be what I have experienced and has
been reveled to me through study and practice. Most importantly, I will have tested
these principles in my own life. For example, those of you who have seen a dearly
departed family member or felt a spirit around you do not need (or want) convincing.
Yes, it can be a little unsettling at first, but it is relatively easy for you to know that
someone is around even if they don’t have a physical body. First you have to know,
there’s that word again, that if this soul didn’t have a desire to hurt you while
inhabiting a physical body (when they could done some serious damage), typically
the most they can do is spook you...pun intended. The point is, we know, that
energy is not destroyed, simply transformed. They are here amongst us, and you
have to take steps to learn to be receptive. Benign is as benign does; like attracts
like. Use your innate trust of exploring these other realms and you’ll be protected.
Become fearful, suspicious and grasping, and that’s what you’ll attract in this and
the other realms. Have any idea why most spiritual practices teach some form of
contemplation, meditation, prayer or breath control? In order to center the mind,
perhaps your biggest huddle in understanding and accessing what you know versus
creating doubts of all kinds.

Most often, older souls take reincarnation as a certainty of their gnosis, to hell with
belief. In a very true sense, belief and doubt go hand in hand. The last 2000 years
of the Piscean Age has called upon us to have faith in all types of miracles, virgin
birth, resurrection of Jesus and the being born in original sin. I won’t mention
heaven and hell. The next 2000 years will bring about the deconstruction of
religious beliefs as we know it. (That’s one reason for the proliferation of
fundamentalist religious worshipers in Christianity and Islam, and the current
schism). As more and more people on Earth experience gnosis they will want more
from the traditional religions or they will continue to leave them for ‘alternative’
answers.

All Is Choice

Another reason for calling this site Belief Is Not Required sends the message that I
will be talking about more than just astrology, be that Western(Tropical), Sidereal,
Vedic or Chinese. I will be writing messages of inspiration from my guides, Michael
and my higher self. Scheeh, messages are found everywhere is you’re looking and
receptive to them. Astrology is an excellent tool to get you to enter into the reason
behind your birth, and to begin your benign metaphysical journey. (By benign, I don’
t mean you won’t have challenges). Astrology is a roadmap of your karma.
Sometimes we have karmic assets and sometimes we have karmic liabilities.
Through the causal entity Michael, I have learned that ‘all is choice’ and we don’t
cease with our cycle of incarnations unless we teach one other soul what we know
(there’s that gnosis again) and we have to enjoy being here. That’s one major
reason why I’m writing you what I know, not what I belief. It’s a joyous rendition of
how we are all ONE. We are on different point of view and position on the circle of
incarnations, but we’re joined nonetheless.

Thanks for visiting Belief Is Not Required, you’ll get more than you currently are
expecting...and if not, tell me what you want to know...not simply what you believe.
Let’s journey together...

Peace, light, love and gnosis

In 1986, a friend of Quan´s gave him a book on Numerology.  It
fascinated him.  His education includes an undergraduate degree
in Corporation Finance and a law degree from the University of
Iowa.  He started reading about the tarot cards and astrology soon
after graduating from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Quan did not believe that society was ready for his gifts so he
enrolled in law school.  It was not until after he graduated from law
school in 1989 that he started to consider himself  a “professional’
astrologer.  (Life magazine´s July, 1997 article estimates that there
are 6,000 professional astrologers in the U.S.)  He received his
license to practice law in Washington State in June, 1991.  He
spent a year in Seattle working at a metaphysical bookstore that
had four astrologers on staff also known as his “trial by fire’.

Presently, Quan has a growing professional practice as an
astrologer, tarot reader and intuitive.  He has been practicing full-
time since January, 1996.   He knows that one of his life tasks is
to augment the professionalism of astrologers, psychics, mediums,
etc.  Even the use of the word “psychic’ has been changed to
“intuitive’ in order to take the glamour out of a skill that anyone
can learn.  He also teaches astrology and tarot.

Quan has worked extensively with several mediums, including
print, radio and TV.  He has been published in Planet Earth an
astrology magazine published in Eugene, Oregon.  From
December, 1994 through September, 2000, he wrote a weekly
astrological column entitled, Out of Time and Space Astrology in
the PitchWeekly.  Today, this column is found in Explore KC.
From September, 1997 through July, 1999, he appeared on KCHZ
95.7 FM taking callers over the air.  From July, 1996 through
March, 1999, he wrote a monthly feature in the Midwestern paper
called The Edge.  He has been writing for 417 regional magazine
since the premiere issue in January, 1998.  Quan has appeared
on KCTV Channel 5 Morning News several times from November,
1998 through May, 1999  and KC Today with Kathy Quinn.

Using astrology and tarot in Quan´s practice demonstrates his
unique talents.  He believes that astrology uses the left brain
(math, degrees, angles, separating principles) and tarot the right
brain (creative, unifying principles).  He uses them both
professionally and expertly.
