Here in the Missouri there's a saying, 'if you don't like the weather, wait, it'll change'. This winter we've had our share of intense weather. Each of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) take center stage when the seasons are changing. Pisces as the last sign of the zodiac comes in when winter gives way to spring. We are waiting for the spring thaw.
Psychic Pisces asks, 'where and to whom would you flow?' You are a river (individual soulful feelings). Where or who is your ocean? (collective soulful feelings). How do you healthily separate these two separate, but connected sides of yourself? Those of you born with strong Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces must take note of your psyche/soma (soul/body) balance.
Cease projections based upon unexamined beliefs. We all have a real danger of making someone else out to be the bad guy (the 'other') over this next several weeks. Those closest to us can easily act as our relationship's movie screens in which to project what we do not want to look at within ourselves.
Sunday's Full Moon brought Mercury, Pallas Athene and Mars into stark focus. The Sun and Moon at opposition in the signs of Pisces and Virgo provided the lighting for this stage. The second opposition happens between Pallas Athene (your 'way' of seeing reality from a creative and inventive perspective) in Leo and Mercury (your ability to speak, analyze information, communication skills) in Aquarius. Oppositions instruct us that yang needs yin, or the flip side of the coin is still the same coin. Leo and Aquarius contrast each other around the coin of individuality. Pisces and Virgo center around emotional and physical health.
This is why the Pisces Sun and Virgo Moon bring these idealistic teachers (Mercury/Athena) back down to earth. Through providing a healthy dose of humility and pragmatism, we can enter this spring doing what needs to be done for the good of all. Pallas Athene in regal Leo fills our minds with inspirational ideas, but it is important not to become petty and hoard them because our egos demand more attention or appreciation. And, with the god of war still tracing his steps in backwards fashion, Mars requires an allegiance to our peace making instincts. After all, he is spending a whopping eight months in diplomatic Libra (December 7, 2013 through July 25, 2014).
As we finish the season of winter and Pisces, spiritual law demands we sacrifice outmoded feelings and thoughts. How do you know what needs to be released? Take a tech free moment or two. Engage in some eco-therapy (fresh air and sunshine). Flex your contemplative muscles. The challenge over the next several weeks will be to maintain composure. And, that requires searching for and engaging your inner peace and tranquility.
