It’s been said that the wheels of justice move slowly (if at all). I wrote these words about Justice Gorsuch over four years ago.
Born under a Morning Star in Virgo, Mr. Gorsuch would have a more insulated value system. Retrograde Venus can indicate an internalized manner of coming to decisions about love, life and spirituality.
Speaking for the majority 6-3 the Justice Neil M. Gorsuch wrote:
“Today, we much decide whether an employer can fire someone simply for being homosexual or transgender. The answer is clear. An employer who fires an individual for being homosexual or transgender fires that persona for traits or actions it would not have question in members of a different sex. Sex plays a necessary and undisguishable role in the decision, exactly what Title VII forbids”
This is the slowing down of a retrograde planets intends to do as well. Venus reexamines what the prevailing value system (aka justice, laws, customs, culture and mores) and makes up her own mind. Justice Thomas also has a retrograde Venus, but his is in emotionally attached to the past Cancer. Cancer folx are usually loathe to let anything go.
However, Gorsuch’s retrograde Venus is in pragmatic and exacting Virgo who is able to set emotion aside (think Spock of Star Trek fame). I have rarely been so grateful for a strict constructionist ‘letter of the law’ type as I am today. The extra vote to make it a sixth justice offers some hope for LGBTQ rights in the future. BTW, Virgo is connected to employees and workers’ rights, maybe there was some higher energies going on with Virgo Justice Gorsuch.
