Sometimes when I get into a deep cleaning mood, as I gather the tools and products, I imagine myself as a male Martha Stewart, named Marty.? As a water sign, imagination and creativity are important virtues, so is my mood.? Preferring to call ?moods?, ?atmospheres?, channeling Ms. Stewart does help.? It is not exactly like ?What Would Martha Do??, but it is close.? If you have a water sign of Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces prominent, you know you are less likely to clean (or do anything) that you don?t feel.
Astrology, as a language, can be divided into classification based on your element and where your sign falls in the season.? Those signs that begin the season want cleaning to be done as quickly as possible (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn).? Getting started can be a challenge for those middle of season signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.? Staying focused on one task and completing the cleaning can unnerve the changeable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
Let?s look at the elements of fire, earth, air and water:
The Energizer Bunny and/or Delegator:? Fire Signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
Fire is quick, passionate, energized.? It burns the junk away.? Fire changes the appearance of what it touches.? Aries, Leo and Sagittarius do not want to take the time to clean.? It their budget allows, they will delegate these tasks.? But, if it doesn?t Aries want to be done as quickly as possible.? Leo will ritualize it through buying all of the cleaning ?stage? props, including an audience.? Be careful, though, these sunny folk may be guilty of sunbathing their hard wood floors, but they know once they start, their home will be spotless.? Sagittarius, born at fall?s end, has a changeable energy about spring cleaning one day relentless, next day, shopping or traveling.? Again, can?t someone else do this for the Centaur?
The Planner and/or To-Do List:? Earth Signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
Virgo and Capricorn are two earth signs that epitomize the practicality and need for order that spring cleaning exemplifies.? These two signs will probably have the least amount of spring cleaning, but paradoxically think they have the most.? They usually clean year round.? They have read the blogs about vinegar and baking soda, their washing machines are cleaned.? Taurus, the stubborn sign of spring?s middle, stays at rest still the clutter, dust bunnies or guck at the bottom of the oven become unsightly.? Then, charge.? Like Leo, they want the recognition for what they?ve accomplished, so a little fawning would be helpful.? Not wanting to admit to their capriciousness, Taurus may clean at some odd times, usually, it?s an aesthetic (or lack thereof) that has prompted them.
The Researcher and/or Gadget Lovers:? Air Signs of Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
The air signs can live in their heads, a bit off planet as it were.? Otherworldliness does not have to be a bad name, except when you come in an Aquarian star pad only to realize their books and computer have no dust, but everything else does.? To be sure the trending star child is likely to purchase gadgets to make cleaning efficient.? They want to spend time with friends or moving thoughts through their large brains.? Gemini, a dualistic wonder, wants to be seen as orderly and every other day, this is probably true.? Like their Mercury ruled sister sign of Virgo, they can have obsessive tendencies like a spotless kitchen (along with clean cabinets and frig) and bathroom, but their closets and basements are full of clutter.? You simply do not know what you will get with jack-in-the-box Gemini, that?s what makes these spritely souls so alluring, I say.? Libra, for these scale-bearers, it can come down to whether they live alone or with a partner or house mate.? They can easily take on the attitude about spring cleaning from those around them.? Yet, they sit between obsessive about order Virgo and deep cleaning Scorpio.? It is a fair bet that when balanced internally this is reflected in their environments. (According to Feng Shui practioners, this is true of everyone).
The Reflector and/or Sentimentalist:? Water Signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces
Water, water everywhere, not a drop to drink aka this ain?t Flint, Michigan, is it?? (Too soon? Or Too prescient?)? Cancer, with her ebb and flow of moods, will probably act like a Virgo and clean on a regular basis, however, still feel (a lot) that there is more to do.? Yet, if spring cleaning has unhappy memories, these sweet souls may need to call a cleaning service.? Or spend the money on a counselor.? There is no other sign that the Feng Shui principle of your outer environment reflecting your inner world is truer for than Cancer.? Scorpio is fixed (stubborn) water, so once their minds are made up to clean, get out of the way.? Silently (probably with loud music playing as sign for you to back off and not talk) they will do their duty to making sure their environment is ship shape.? Pisces needs the music to play as well, yet like their mutable, emotionally charged Sagittarius, hiring someone to do the parts of spring cleaning that the loathe is where I?d bet my money for their aurically sensitive folk.
